After spending nearly 1/2 of my life in Thailand and surrounding countries, I've begun to recognize that my perspectives sometimes can be of benefit to others. Several of my friends have encouraged me to share them in a bigger way... hence this site.
I imagine that my audience to be foreigners living in Asia. When I was a student of the Thai language in 1987, my classmates were literally from all over the world. This was a fantastic part of the overall experience because the interaction and exchange of perspectives was mind-opening and I think healthy for us all. My hope is that this site will be an upgrade of that experience, and become a place to share with others, relevant perspectives on living and working in Asia.
Unlike Western society, the lines between one's personal and professional life is often blurred. Most Asian's don't see a difference. It's one life - not two or more. At the same time it's not uncommon for a person to work and live in many roles at the same time. Consequently, the common thread of this site is both personal and professional information that I feel may be of interest to other foreigners in Aisa.
For now, I've decided to include things that interest me, I am doing or have done, and might be of help to others. Browse and feel free to offer comments and suggestions, site recommendations, etc. Questions are welcome too.
